Pricing Transparency
I get many questions from many of you lovely humans asking about my pricing and why each piece is priced the way it is. For those of you who do not know, I am a one woman show. I purchase every charm, block of clay, chain, bubble mailer, POS equipment, market spot, ads, and pay all of my taxes as a single human running this brand.
With that being said, I price each piece in accordance with the base cost of materials and the time it takes for me to craft each piece. The higher quality the materials of the piece, the higher cost the final product will be.
I list everything at materials cost + $20/hr and then you, lovely buyer, pay taxes/shipping based on where you are in the world.
Example:
Baby Blue Charm Bracelet
6in Gold Fill Chain: $12
8 Gold Fill charms: $24
1 Gold Fill Extender & Clasp: $2
Time to Assemble: 1 hour ($20)
Total Cost: $58
Listing Price: $55
Example:
Mermaid Silver Ring
20g of Pure 999 Silver Clay: $40
Time to Assemble: 2.5 hours, not including drying or filing time, including firing/kiln time ($50)
Total Cost: $90
Listing Price: $85
Please remember that that hourly pay I pay myself is my contractors' salary. A lot of the time the pieces take longer to create but because I strive for perfection I do not include that extra time in the cost of the piece.
I am always* happy to remake your piece if it is not what you desire. My goal is for you to get your money's worth and feel completely satisfied with your unique Sun Kid piece.
*No returns or refunds on custom pieces. Those are custom to YOU and your sizing. I will only remake if there is a shipping issue or the integrity of the piece was threatened or faulty (I would need to reattach charms and re-solder...).
Another reminder: I am a small business. Please do not try to haggle with me. My pricing is firm, and if you choose to support my brand more than once, I always send you a discount code on your birthday if you sign up for emails, and I attach a handwritten discount code on your packing slip in your second order to use on your third (or fourth, or fifth!!)
Thank you for your patronage!
